Introduction to the Course
Chinese words origin in pictures. Such as the word “horse”, which is written as the true horse shape. Chinese is one of the oldest scripts in the world and is still in use nowadays.
The same ancient tools – brush, is used for both Chinese calligraphy and painting, besides, special paper and ink are used. Same in Japan and South Korea.
In the calligraphy lessons, students will learn how to write with the ancient Chinese brush, and also skills and right knowledge of Chinese calligraphy.
In painting lessons, there are four steps for the students to practice. The first one is painting flowers and birds; second is landscapes; 3rd is animals and 4th is human figures.
It is a one and half hour course, and students can bring their finished works back home after class.
Students can choose either calligraphy or painting lesson on Friday. If they choose both, half price for the second one.
All those who love art are welcome to join the class and various kinds of materials will be well prepared by Miss Li, teacher of the class.
Attention: Material is not included in the price, but the teacher will organise it with the students.
Teaching language: Chinese, French and English
Class size: Each class starts from 4 students, and maximum of 8 students.
Fee: For 15 lessons of each class, 450 CHF
